Bladder cancer is a common form of cancer. In 2022, there were over 600,000 new cases of bladder cancer globally with Europe accounting for slightly more than 220,000 cases in men and women combined.23 Bladder cancer occurs when the cells that make up the urinary bladder begin to grow uncontrollably.4 The most common form of bladder cancer is urothelial carcinoma, also known as transitional cell carcinoma (TCC), which starts from the urothelial cells that line the inside of the bladder.4 Other forms of bladder cancer can develop elsewhere in the urinary tract, but these are all much less common.4
Lung cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, accounting for more than 484,000 annual cancer diagnoses in Europe alone.3 In lung cancer, abnormal cells cluster together in the lungs, which can make you feel tired and breathless, and can cause chest pain and persistent coughs.5
Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the prostate gland, located just behind the bladder.6 Each year, approximately 473,000 people in Europe are diagnosed with the condition, and it is now the second commonest cause of male cancer death.7 Most people with early-stage prostate cancer are asymptomatic.8 Screening for prostate cancer can play an important role in improving men's understanding of their health as part of an informed decision-making process with health care professionals.9

Does everything taste different to you? Many people undergoing cancer treatment experience changes in how food tastes. Foods may suddenly seem dull, bitter or unpleasant and can leave a lingering aftertaste. Sometimes the perceived texture or temperature of certain foods can also change.
